Surfside Homeowners Association is located on the scenic southwest Washington coast at the northern end of the Long Beach peninsula. The area is famous for its continuous 26 miles of white sand beach, fishing, oysters, kite flying and “coastal living” life style. Surfside fronts approximately three miles of the Pacific Ocean beach with numerous trails leading through the dunes to the beach.  An internal canal system and several lakes provide freshwater recreation to home owners as well as their guests.

  • Amenities within Surfside include several cabanas located on the lakes and canals, walking bridges over waterways and trails to access the beach.  These are all part of your member benefits!
  • Office hours:  8:30-4PM.
  • The Association stocks a warm water fishery on the lakes and canals.
  • A compactor site for trash and recycling are provided at no additional charges to members.
  • An RV storage lot allows low cost storage of recreational vehicles.
  • Water use is included in member dues and assessments.  There is a water conservation rate of 5,000 cu ft.
  • Covenants apply to construction and common “good neighbor” practices. The Surfside Homeowners Association office provides administrative offices as well as meeting facilities.

Surfside Homeowners Association is private and not-for-profit with over 2,050 members who own 2,859 lots, with many members owning more than one lot. Surfside has a budget of over one and a half million dollars per year.  It employs 15 people who are responsible for water distribution and disinfection, grounds maintenance, patrol, covenant enforcement, trash compaction, member services and volunteer committee support.

The Association is governed by a nine member Board of Trustees and has volunteer committees which include architectural, tree and noxious weed, land, buildings and waterways, and emergency management.

The stunning natural beauty of the beach is supplemented by numerous tourism activities. If you tire of walking the beach, looking at panoramic sunsets, or marveling at the power of winter Pacific storms you can visit nearby Oysterville with its 1860s homes, church and school, or drive south to Long Beach with shops, restaurants, amusement rides and games, or visit museums dedicated to maritime history or the Lewis and Clark expedition.

We are confident you will enjoy coastal living at its best in Surfside and welcome you to our community.
